PORTABLE GAS MONITOR

8.  Recharging the Batteries

8.1.  General

Use only Company approved chargers to recharge monitor.

Recharge the battery in the following situations:

•   The low battery icon 

 appears on the display.

•   The monitor will not switch ON.

When the low battery icon 

 appears on the display, approximately 30 minutes of operation

at normal temperatures remain. The monitor will then switch OFF automatically.

8.2.  Recharge Monitor Using the Charging / Comms 

Clip

1.  Connect the supplied charging/comms clip to the monitor. To ensure the contact nodes on the

charging/comms  clip  engage  the  monitor’s  contact  pads,  slide  the  locking  tongue  on  the

charging/comms clip fully into the monitor’s locating slot and ensure the locking pins on the

charging/comms  clip  firmly  click  into  the  monitor’s  locking  pin  slots  (refer  to 

Figure  37:

Charging/Comms Clip Connection

).

WARNING: ONLY CHARGE THE BATTERY IN A NON-HAZARDOUS

AREA.

Caution: Switch the monitor off when charging the internal battery.
