4.1.1 Sample Calibration
There are two ways to calibrate the sample:
1. To properly calibrate the volume prior to
running a program, you must go to M
AIN
M
ENU
and scroll to find the C
ALIBRATE
menu
item. Press F3 S
EL
to select the calibration
menu item.
• Calibrate #1 is displayed. Adjust the
intake tube to set the sample size:
a. Loosen the compression nut and slide the
tube down for a smaller sample and up
for more sample.
b. Tighten the compression nut.
c. Start (F3) to collect the Calibration #1
sample.
d. Check for volume accuracy, then discard
the sample and proceed to Calibrate #2 if
necessary.
e. When the volume accuracy is acceptable,
discard the calibration sample and press
H
OME
(F1) to go to P
ROGRAM
R
EADY
screen.
2. If you skip the calibration steps, the
sampler will need to be calibrated in the
R
UN
mode or G
RAB
mode.
