WARNING! Failure to properly ground this equipment can create hazardous conditions to
installation personnel and to the equipment.

WARNING! Commercial power systems present electrical voltage and amperage levels
that are considered
an electrical hazard. Make sure that only qualified personnel install,
operate, maintain, or otherwise come in contact with this equipment. Remove all watches
and jewelry before connecting to the power supply. Only use insulated tools when con-
necting to commercial power.
6.1 Grounding the Enclosure
Procedure steps:
1. Make sure you have the following tools and materials:
•
Telect exterior ground lug kit (part
#305670), 2-hole lug, 1-AWG, 1/2" stud,
3/4 C-C
•
crimping tool for lugs
•
digital multimeter
•
an anti-oxidant compound such as NO-
OX-ID Metal Corrosion Protection
2. Each enclosure includes two sets of external
grounding mounting points suitable for con-
necting enclosures to earth ground and also
to each other in a multiple bay configuration.

ALERT! When you attach the ground ring to the enclosure frame, it is CRITICAL that you
thoroughly coat any exposed metal with No-Ox compound.
