4.1.3 Connecting

• Make sure the power supply is NOT connected to either the electricity supply

or the router.

• Connect all data cables.

• Connect the power supply cable to the device.

• Install the protection case for connectors.

• Connect the power supply cable to the electricity supply.

4.1.4 Disconnecting

• Disconnect the power supply from the electricity supply.

• Remove the protective case.

• Disconnect the power supply from the router.

• Disconnect the data cables.

4.2 Data connections

The Regesta Smart PRO has the following data connections.

4.2.1 LAN connection

The Regesta Smart PRO incorporates one 10/100/1000 BaseT Gigabit Etherent port with automatic MDI/MDIX to
connect to a local area network (LAN). This interface is totally independent from the switch, if present, and is handled
as every other interface.

Please pay careful attention to the labeling to avoid mistaking this port for other types of ports:

4.2.2 WAN connections

The Regesta Smart PRO has one Ethernet COMBO Gigabit interface for WAN connection. This port has 2 connect-
ors - SFP for an optical link and RJ-45 for a 10/100/1000 Base-T link. However, they cannot work simultaneously.
This interface is totally independent from the switch (if present) and is managed like every other interface.
