
Basic operation
Probe offset
The probe offset is adjustable for operation within the linear range of the probe, and to increase the sensitivity of the probe at
higher DC measurement voltages. Using the offset to cancel DC signal components enables optimal probe performance. (See
Figure 1 on page 14.)

To set the probe offset, follow these steps:
1.
Use the vertical position control to set a
zero reference level on the oscilloscope
display.
2.
Set the oscilloscope coupling to
DC
and
5 V/div. This sets the oscilloscope to
display the full offset dynamic range of the
probe.
