Glossary Frequency Drift
Frequency Drift
Gradual shift or change in displayed frequency over the speci fi ed time due to internal changes in the
analyzer, where other conditions remain constant. Expressed in hertz per second.
Frequency Mask Trigger
A fl exible real-time trigger based on speci fi c events that occur in the frequency domain.
Frequency Range
The range of frequencies over which the performance of the instrument is speci fi ed.
Frequency Span
A continuous range of frequencies extending between two frequency limits.
Frequency Settling Time
The time measured from a reference point to when the signal of interest settles to within user-de fi ned
tolerance.
GPIB
Acronym for General Purpose Interface Bus, the common name for the communications interface system
de
fi ned in IEEE Std. 488.
Graticule
The calibrated grid overlaying the display screen of analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test instruments.
