Media Jams

Preventing media jams

■

To reduce the frequency of paper and transparency jams, 
use Tektronix media and occasionally clean the rollers. From the 

Help Menu,

 scroll to 

Print Quality

 and press 

OK.

 Scroll to the 

Help Pages

 and press 

OK.

 Scroll to the 

Paper Tips

 and print and 

read the tips to avoid media jams.

When using the Multi-Purpose Tray, always set the media 
thickness switch for the media you are using. See

 

page 25

.

■

If the printer frequently reports 

Jam at Multi-Purpose,

 move the 

media thickness switch to a thicker setting.

Jam-Wrong Media

1.

Check the trays to make sure that they contain the proper media.

a.

Check all PAPER trays and remove all transparencies.

b.

Check all TRANSPARENCY trays and remove all paper.

c.

If printing from the Multi-Purpose Tray, make sure that the 
correct media type is selected from the front panel.

2.

Open the left side door, remove the jammed media. See Jam at A 
illustrations.
