Equipment Setup
Use this procedure to set up the equipment to test the probe.
1.
Connect the probe to the oscilloscope.
2.
Connect a Y-lead adapter with KlipChip adapters attached to the
P6249.
3.
Turn on the oscilloscope and enable the channel.
4.
Allow 30 minutes for the equipment to warm up.
NOTE
. If your oscilloscope has a probe calibration routine, run it
before making any of the following checks. However, certain
firmware versions of TDS series oscilloscopes will return a Probe Cal
Failed message. If this occurs, see
Probe Calibration Errors
on
page 14 for more information.
