Troubleshooting
Figure 5-12. 064813—Mixer Interface Module
1. Check the Operator’s Guide to verify correct usage of the function that appears broken.
2. Verify the function in question is supported by the current software release.
3. Is the +5V LEDs at front edge of module lit? If not, check fuse.
The problem
went away.
Problem is not on
Mixer Interface
Swap the Mixer Interface module in question with
other Mixer Interface module in the Frame.
The problem
remains unchanged.
1. Visually inspect the module for obvious problems: bent connector
pins; improperly socketed parts; or broken solder connections.
2. If unable to find a problem, contact customer service for instructions.
064813 - Mixer Interface Module
Module 064813
Problem is probably
the Mixer Interface
that is now in the
MIK location.
Do one of the following tests, whichever is appropriate:
1. If the problem appears in a key or background layer, turn off
all other layers so that they are black. Now the resultant effect
is based only on the video path which passes through the Mixer
Interface in the MIV location. If the problem remains, it is probably
the MIV mixer Interface. If the problem is now absent, the problem
is probably the Mixer Interface in the MIK location. In this case,
swapping the modules should move the problem to the MIV Mixer
Interface so that it becomes visible.
2. If the problem is in an Aux Bus output, examine the video Aux
Bus output with a monitor. If the video output does not look correct,
the problem is likely to be the Mixer Interface in the MIV location.
If the video output appears to be correct, suspect the Mixer Interface
in the MIK location. In this case, swapping the modules will move
the problem to the MIV Mixer Interface so that it becomes visible.
3. If the problem is in an Effects Loop, repeat test 1, except with an
effects loop.
The problem is
isolated to one of
the two modules.
