User´s Guide for Gas Oven
• Press the control switch for approximate-
ly 10 seconds until there is a uniform flame
around the burner, to permit the heating of
the thermocouple mounted on the burner to
automatically keep the fl ame alight (control
visually).
• If after approximately 10 seconds the burner
is not alight, stop the operation and return the
control to position . Wait at least a minute
before trying to light the burner again (always
keeping the oven door open).
• Once that you are sure that the burner is lit,
wait a few seconds before gently closing the
door.
• Place the oven tray below the grid to catch
any dripping fat.
• When cooking is completed, turn off the
burner by turning the thermostat dial clock-
wise to zero.
CAUTION:
If for any reason the fl ame goes out, do not
try to re-light the burner for at least one
minute.
ELECTRIC GRILL USE
• Hold and turn the thermostat dial clockwise
to the specifi ed position (grill).
• It is advisable to heat the grill for at least 5
minutes before introducing the food.
• Place the food to be grilled on the suitable
oven grid or in a tray with low sides. The
oven grid should be placed on the highest
support (depending on the size of the food
to be cooked) with the tray directly below it
to collect dripping fat. Depending on the type
of food (e.g. red meat, fi sh, white meat, etc.),
the food will need to be turned it so that both
sides are exposed to the infrared rays.
• Cooking with the grill should not exceed 30
minutes.
CAUTION:
The grill will not work when the gas oven
function is selected.
CAUTION:
The oven is equipped with a safety system
which will prevent the grill from being swit-
ched on if the temperature is too high after a
long period of cooking.
SELECTING FUNCTIONS
• The oven light can be switched on by turning
the dial in an anti-clockwise direction.
• The fan can be switched on when either the
lower burner or grill is in operation by turning
the dial in a clockwise direction.
CAUTION:
The fan
will not turn on if the grill
is
selected in the temperature dial.
• The bottom position switches on the fan for
defrosting.
CAUTION:
The appliance is equipped with a cooling
motor for the internal components. This de-
vice turns on automatically with any oven use
and continues to operate until a temperature
