LIGHTING YOUR BARBECUE
1. Before lightning make sure to:
1. Open the appliance’s lid!
2. Turn all the appliance’s control knobs to the OFF position.
3. Connect the gas cylinder to the barbecue grill (as per above instructions).
4. Turn the cylinder valve on. Check the cylinder, regulator and hose connections for
leakage using soapy water (see paragraph 3 above – CHECK FOR LEAKS). Leakage
will show as bubbles. If leak is found, do not use the barbecue!
2. To light a burner, push and keep down the control knob whilst turning anti-clockwise to
the HI position and at the same time press the ignition button up to four times in rapid
succession. This will light the burner. If not, repeat the process. If the burner has not lit
after two attempts, turn the cylinder valve off, turn control knobs off and wait 5 minutes
before retrying the ignition sequence.
3. If the burner does not stay alight, please repeat step 2.
4. When the burner is lit, it can be adjusted by turning the knob between HI and LOW rate
position.
5. To light other burner, follow the 2-4 steps.
6. To turn the barbecue off, turn the cylinder valve off. Then, once the flame have
extinguished, turn all control knobs on the appliance to the OFF position.
Warning
: If any burner fails to ignite twice in a row, turn the cylinder valve off and turn the
control knob to OFF position. Wait 5 minutes before attempting to relight with ignition

5. GRILLING
• Do not use this appliance to heat materials and substances other than food!
• Food can be barbecued on the cooking grid either with or without the lid being closed.
When the lid is closed for 3-5 minutes, the lid must be open for 1 min to release heat and
avoid grease fire.
• When using for the first time, the grill should be lit and alight for at least 15 minutes
(recommended 30 minutes) before placing food on the cooking area.
• Clean this device after each use for optimum operation!
• It is suggested to perform “burning off” of the barbecue after every use (for approx 15
minutes) which will keep excessive food residue to a minimum:
1. Close the lid, and turn up the temperature to 3000C.
2. Keep up the temperature for about 10-15 minutes. Once this time is up, turn off the
device.
3. Wait for the device to cool down.
4. Use the noble metal brush to clean the residues on the cooking grid. Remember to
