- WORKING PROGRAM PARAMETERS DESCRIPTION
All the following parameters indicating times are expressed in periods, also called mains
cycles. The mains frequency defines the duration of a period:
Mains frequency of 50 Hz 1 period = 20 ms
Mains frequency of 60 Hz 1 period = 16.6 ms
WORKING MODE
The WORKING MODE parameter defines the mode for adjusting the welding current of the
program: power percent (
FIX
), constant current (
lK
) or constant energy (
ENE
).
Welding time (WELD 1) is carried out according to the adjustment mode set in this parameter.
This parameter affects the welding time (WELD) only. The welding process will be carried out
according to the adjustment mode defined in this parameter.
(PRE-WELD) and (POST-WELD) times are always run with the power percentage
adjustment.
CONTROL MODE
The CONTROL MODE parameter permits to select the control mode of the desired welding
current.
NO
No control is performed on the supplied welding current
.
CUR
permits to set the welding current min. and max. limits.
DEG
permits to set the min. and max. limits of the welding current conduction angle.
ALL
It is possible
to set the minimum and maximum value of both the welding current
and the conduction angle.
QUALITY - T
Use this parameter to select if and which check should be carried out on the mechanical
qualities of the welded material. Checks are run before the weld current flow to measure the
initial thickness of the material to be welded and after the weld current flow to measure the
indentation of the electrodes into the material to be welded.
Activate this check mode only if the specific position sensor has been installed on the spot
welder and if it can be activated through the THICK SENSOR parameter present in the
FEATURES MENU
menu.
The QUALITY – T parameter can be set to the following values:
OFF
No checks are run on the mechanical dimensions of the material present between
the electrodes.
ZERO
In this mode, the control unit calculates the ZERO reference coordinate for the
thickness and indentation measurements. The TE550 commutates automatically to NO
WELD and one weld cycle must be carried out without material between electrodes.
The ZERO procedure is required each time the machine is turned on, when the
welder's secondary geometry changes and when electrodes maintenance is
performed
.
