from hanging clothes, curtains, etc.
Steam-ironing
Steam-ironing is only possible at higher ironing temperatures:
··
for moderate steam,
···
for maximum steam.
Set the steam controller when the thermostat is specifically set to Steam mode.
Steam is produced as soon as the iron is in a horizontal position.
The production of steam is interrupted as soon as the iron is kept in a vertical
position.
NOTE : When using in steam mode, if drops of water bead the soleplate,
increase the temperature by turning the thermostat knob clockwise.
DRY IRONING
Set the steam flow controller to 0.
As for the steam mode, select the temperature according to the nature of the fabric.
When the desired temperature is reached, the indicator goes off and the iron is ready
for use.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Always unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning.
• All deposits, starch residues or dimensions left on the plate can be removed with a
damp cloth or a non-abrasive liquid detergent.
• Clean the outside of the appliance with a sponge or slightly damp cloth.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid !
• Never use abrasive products, wire brush or other sharp objects.
• Do not lay the iron on rough or metal surfaces to avoid scratches.
• Store the iron vertically in a dry and ventilated place.
• The sole of the iron will have a long life if you take care of it. Do not scratch or
damage it with metal objects.
ADVICE FOR GOOD IRONING
We recommend using the lowest temperatures with fabrics that have unusual
finishes (sequins, embroidery, flush, etc.).
If the fabric is mixed (e.g. 40% cotton 60% synthetics), set the thermostat to the
temperature of the fibre requiring the lower temperature.
If you don’t know the composition of the fabric, determine the suitable temperature
by testing on a hidden corner of the garment. Start with a low temperature and
