The smoke deflection plate, chamotte slabs, and shake-out grate can wear after long use, but
they can be exchanged easily.
Chromium-plated or gold-plated stove parts may only be carefully wiped with a very soft cloth
and little pressure. Do not use any cleaning agent. Danger of abrasion!
Description
Stoves are excellently suited for heating living and working areas. The stove body consists of
a welded steel construction.
The heating of the room air and creation of a comfortable living climate are achieved through
radiant heat and convection heat. In this way, you can quickly cool rooms that have been
unheated for a longer period of time yourself.
The room air enters the stove through the primary and secondary air supply.
During the combustion process, the air is heated in the stove chamber and conducted to the
flue gas exhaust above the combustion chamber. In the process, the upper part of the stove
chamber heats strongly and the warm air arising outside distributes itself around the room.
The percentage of radiant heat results from thermal radiation in the vicinity of the sightglass of
the combustion chamber door from the metal surfaces of the stove and – if present – from the
surfaces of the side walls that are clad with natural stone or ceramic times.
In the case of double-walled models, the percentage of convection heat results from the cool
room air entering the side hollow chambers through the lower air inlet openings, being heated
there, rising, and then being conducted back into the room through the upper air outlet open-
ings.
General notices/safety notices
National and European standards, local and construction regulations, and regulations of the
fire authorities must be observed. For the installation of your stove, the legal fire protection reg-
ulations and/or the legally binding local construction ordinances at the place of installation
must be observed and the responsible local master chimney sweep must be consulted. He or
she will also check the proper connection of the stove to the chimney.
Before installation, make sure the foundation can bear the load of the stove. In case of an insuf-
ficient load capacity, suitable measures (for example, a suitable plate for load distribution) must
be made to achieve this purpose.
For your stove, all tests required by legislation have been performed. The required character-
istic values in regard to the combustion efficiency and flue gas emissions were observed.
The construction type 1 (BA 1) stove described in these instructions has been tested according
to ("Kaminöfen für feste Brennstoffe" (Stoves for Solid Fuels)) and EN13240. Stoves of con-
struction type 1 (see the type plate) may be connected to a multiply used chimney insofar as
permitted by the chimney dimensions according to DIN EN 13384 and/or 13384-2. The stove
is an open fireplace.
In case of stoves of construction type 1, the closing springs of the combustion chamber door
must not be removed if such an appliance is connected to a multiply used chimney. The clas-
sification in construction type 1 is achieved through self-closing combustion chamber doors.
