Note:
1.We cannot guarantee compatibility with all USB mass storage devices and
assume no responsibility for any loss of data that may occur when connected to
this unit.
2.Some USB devices may not be properly recognised.
3.This unit only supports Consumer Electronics (CE) HDD with external power
supply specially made for PVR video recording.
Note:
1.All the data previously stored on the USB disk will be erased and can't be
recovered after formatting. Users must pay attention to and understand the result
of formatting as retailers, distributors and manufacturers will NOT take the
responsibility for any data loss.
2.With large amounts of data, it may take longer for the system to read the contents
of a USB device.

provides the best performance for PVR operations such as RECORD,
PLAYBACK and TIME-SHIFT.
performs depending on the capacity (especially the access speed)
of the USB stick and the bit rate of the program being recorded (see section
, on Page 23). High-speed USB2.0 stick works well on both SD/HD channels, while
slow USB stick only works fine on SD channels. If you encounter picture/sound jitter issue
when recording program on your USB stick, please change to USB Hard Disk.

This unit only supports FAT32 file system, before connecting the USB mass storage device,
please kindly check the file system.
If a USB disk with other file system type (such as NTFS) is connected, you will be asked to
format it to FAT32 before it can be used.
This chapter covers the recording, playback and time-shifting functions available in the
HDVR845.
