To create a self-signed certificate

In the Certificate/Request Information section, enter the required information as
described above.

Click Create self-signed certificate.

Open a secure connection
With a security certificate installed, you can establish a secure connection.
To enable HTTPS and open a secure connection
1
On the Security page, select Use self-signed certificate or Use certificate created
by CA (depending on the type of certificate you want to use).

At the top of the page, select Enable.

Click Save.

Refresh the page.

Log on to the BC840-MC again.
Your browser is now using a secure connection to communicate with the unit.
