6. Thoroughly clean the batteries and battery
compartment. Refer to
Cleaning
in this section
for information regarding cleaning the batteries.
7. Check the electrolyte level and charge the
batteries. Refer to
Watering
in this section for
information regarding checking the electrolyte
level.
8. Test the batteries. Refer to
Testing
section for
information on testing the batteries.
9. The batteries are now ready to be put back into
service.
1. Make sure the key-switch is in the “OFF”
position, then remove the key.
2. Place the forward-reverse switch in the
center “OFF” position.
3. Set the park brake.
4. Place blocks under the front wheels to
prevent vehicle movement.
5. Disconnect the main positive and
negative cables at the batteries.
