GREASING 

 
All the movement points and transmissions of the mixer must be cleaned and lubricated 
weekly, using the lubricators commented for this purpose. It is convenient somebody 
with a certain experience observe the behavior of such points. 
 

The lubrication points are duly marked by the label shown in the figure. 
 
Do not over-lubricate, especially if a compressed air pump is used. This in 
order  to  avoid  damaging  the  bearing  seals.    Lithium  grease  of  proven 
quality should be used. 
 
 

 
PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE PTO SHAFTS.  
 
Lubricate them every 50 hours. 
Pump the grease into the crosshead til it comes out through the seals. 
Pump the grease progressively. 
Manual pumps generally provide 0.8 - 1.0 grams of grease per pump 
1 ounce (oz) = 28.3 grams (g)
