Use this key to stop playback or recording.

Use this key to turn synchronized recording on and off before
starting to record. (see “Synchronized recording” on page

INPUT SELECT
Use this key to select the different audio inputs and the input
combinations. (see “Input selection” on page 23)

KEYBOARD jack
An IBM PC-compatible keyboard with PS/2 interface can be
connected to this terminal to enable certain operations of
the CD-RW900SX with the keyboard. Title input operations, in
particular, can be performed with greater efficiency.
Force disc ejection
If pressing the EJECT key does not eject the disc because the CD
drive is not functioning, for example, you can use the disc force
ejection (emergency) hole to force the disc to eject.
Turn the unit off before forcing the disc to eject using the
following procedures.
1.
Use a paper clip or other fine pin-like tool.
2.
Insert the pin into the disc force ejection (emergency) hole
as far as possible and repeat several times.
3.
After the disc is ejected partway, pull it out by hand.

This function is provided for emergencies. Follow the usual
procedures for ejecting discs normally.

Never force disc ejection when the power is on.
Rear panel

ANALOG IN (UNBALANCED) (L, R)
These RCA jacks accept analog audio signals from
suitablyequipped units (at -10 dBV).

ANALOG OUT (UNBALANCED) (L, R)
These RCA jacks output analog audio signals (at -10 dBV
levels) to suitably-equipped units.

DIGITAL COAXIAL (IN, OUT)
These two RCA jacks accept and output digital audio in
standard consumer format (SPDIF).

DIGITAL OPTICAL (IN, OUT)
These two TOSLINK optical connectors accept and output
digital audio using optical fiber connectors.

AC IN jack
Connects the power cable supplied.
Connections
The following should be noted when you connect the unit to other equipment.
o
It is possible to connect the unit’s DIGITAL COAXIAL IN,
DIGITAL OPTICAL IN and ANALOG UNBALANCED INs (L, R)
to other equipment at the same time. However, the unit can
receive signals from only one digital input at a time.
o
Currently selected input jack is shown on the display.
o
Audio signals output from the unit are output from the
analog ANALOG OUT jacks, as well as from the DIGITAL
COAXIAL OUT jack and DIGITAL OPTICAL OUT connector
simultaneously (but not from the digital outputs in stop
mode).
