TARGA Karaoke Kit TM200
English - 9
Operation
You can start singing after making a few settings. Power the
TARGA TM200 on by using the On/Off button. The orange
Power LED lights. First put the music volume control to a
neutral centre position. The correct position can be felt by a
slight locking resistance. If you feel the music to be too loud or
too quiet compared to your voice later on, you can re-adjust it
by turning this knob. Turning the knob from the centre position
to the right may lead to distortion when using a sensitive
amplifier. For the time being turn the Echo length knob fully
counterclockwise. This will disable any echo. When required,
you may turn this knob to the right to adjust the echo length for
your voice. Use the microphone gain controls to adjust the mic
level to your voice. First, start by turning the knob as far to the
left as possible. Power on your TV set or amplifier, select the
proper master volume on it, and then set the microphone to
"on". Now start singing into the microphone and turn the
corresponding microphone gain control clockwise until your
voice can be heard loud and clear but without any distortion.
During the sound check you should already sing aloud, as you
will have to sing accompanying the music later on. If the total
volume of music plus voice results too high or too low, adjust it
on your TV set or Hifi equipment. The settings on the mixer
are used to achieve correct music/voice volume balance only.
And now its time to get the background music. Insert the
supplied Karaoke DVD into your DVD player and select the
desired song by using the arrow buttons. For each song you
can toggle between the Karaoke version (without voice) and
vocal version by pressing the arrow buttons on your DVD
player and highlighting the corresponding field on the menu.
Music playback starts and you will see the song lyrics on the
TV screen. A coloured progress indication will show you the
point where the song is currently being played so you don't
miss any verse. If the song includes an instrumental part, this
will be indicated by a corresponding text and coloured
progress too. Furthermore, before you have to start singing, a
beat count "1234" will appear to help you start on time.
