Product description
Connectors, buttons and LEDs description
The SIM-KNX DINRAIL data servers (with 128 or 254 objects) provide
the possibility of connecting arbitrary end devices having a serial
interface and units that have a microcontroller to KNX TP. In this way,
non-KNX end devices become operable via KNX.
Communication is performed via a simple ASCII protocol. The operating
modes RAW Mode, Interoperability Mode and Transparent Mode are
available. The KNX-certified communication system including all
necessary functions for converting KNX datapoint types is already
contained. Transmission properties can be configured for every group
object separately.
The SIM-KNX DINRAIL is a rail-mounted device for installation in
distribution boards on 35 mm DIN rails. Supplied by the KNX bus line
the device does not require an additional power supply. The serial
interface can be connected with a 9-pin female D-Sub connector. Pin2
is used for sending, Pin3 is used for receiving and Pin 5 is used for
GND. The connection to KNX TP is provided via two screw terminals.
Requirements of Directives EMC, RoHS and LVD are met. Standards for
residential, commercial, and industrial environments are fulfilled. The
