NOTICE:

Before disassembling, make sure to drain the oil from the pump.
➢
Mechanical seal should be replaced only when broken or worn (see chapter
5.4.
Oil inspection and change
).
1. Bottom plate [3] and suction strainer [4] disassembly
Remove the nut [1] and the washer [2], then remove the bottom plate [3] and strainer [4].
2. Suction cover [9] disassembly
After removing the stud bolt [5], washer [6], screw [7] and washer [8]; remove the suction cover
[9] and the gasket [10].
3. Impeller [15] disassembly
Using a socket key, remove the doomed nut [11], nut [12], spring washer [13] and the impeller
thread cover [14]; then remove the impeller [15], the impeller adjusting shim [16] and the neck
ring [17] from the main shaft.
4. Pump casing [20] disassembly
After removing the screw [18], spring washer [19], screw [30] and spring washer [31],
remove the pump casing [20], shaft sleeve [21] and the gasket [22].
5. Oil casing [25] and mechanical seal [31] disassembly
After removing the screw [23] and spring washer [24], remove the oil casing [25] (when
doing this be careful not to damage sealing face of the mechanical seal [29]) and O-ring
[26].

Mechanical seal replacement must be handled by the qualified staff, contact Tapflo for more
