6.2.2.2 Snap-in style channel

 

Most of the time, snap-in channels may also be slid in as well. The snap-in technology facilitates the ease of 
mounting the sensor to the channel without additional room needed on each end of the channel. Before 
attempting to snap the housing and actuator into the channel, apply lubricant (mild soapy water) to 
housing/channel and press housing back into channel. (See Figure 11 below).

When mounting the assembly in place, tuck any interconnecting wires from the sensor into the edge’s cavity. 
Insert (optional) dowel pin in each end of the sensing edge to prevent sliding. See below:
