The component is clear but is signalled as scrambed. No smartcard is required

Incom SC/CA

The component is signalled as scrambled and either the smartcard fails to accept the
CA descriptors, or the CA type in the stream is not compatible with the smartcard

The decoder has not yet decided the status of the component

5.5.4.2  Smart Card Menu

The smart card has its own menu where specific information about the smart card can be read. In order
to enter the smart card menu, choose the CA-Module menu. The menu will only appear if a valid smart
card has been inserted prior to the selection and if the software supports the specific smart card type.

The information found in the menu may be subscription period, smart card address etc., but are totally
dependent on the smart card implementation and may vary from card to card. For information about the
smart card menu see additional smart card information or contact the smart card vendor.

5.5.4.2.1 Conax CA-system

Note that this section only applies to software versions x.xxxVC.

After inserting the Conax smart card into the decoder, the Conax consultation menu is enabled through
the 

Status 

 CA-Module

 menu.

The information found in the menu may be subscription period, smart card address etc. , but are totally
dependent on the smart card implementation and may vary from card to card. For information about the
smart card menu see additional smart card information or contact the smart card vendor.

5.5.4.2.2  Viaccess CA-system

Note that this section only applies to software versions x.xxxVC.

After inserting the Viaccess smart card into the decoder, the Viaccess consultation menu is enabled
through CA-Module in the main menu as shown in Figure 29.
