Note that when the machine is being transported separate from the tractor e.g. on a trailer
or a lorry the PTO shaft should be appropriately secured e.g. strapped to the machine. Do
not use the PTO chains to support the weight of PTO shaft at any times as they are only to be
used to prevent PTO guards from spinning when at work.
Never enable the Power Take Off
when transporting the tractor mounted hay rake with the connected PTO shaft
. After
carrying out all of the actions described above go back to the tractor cab, power the engine
up and lift the mounted machine into the transport height. Beware of clearance margins
between the headstock, barriers and cab fixtures when lifting with the very short top link.
11. Service and maintenance
11.1 Safety rules and recommendations
Do not use the machine when broken. Remove the failure before the next start-up of the
machine. All service, maintenance and inspection works can be carried out only when the
tractor is safe stopped (always fully engage the handbrake and put all the controls in neutral,
stop the engine and remove the ignition key). It is recommended to lock the door when
leaving the tractor cabin to avoid possibility of the third party interference e.g. children. The
person performing the works is obliged to adhere to all of the recommendations and
guidelines included in this operating manual. Post warranty welding works can be done only
by qualified personnel. Welding with use of electricity requires undertaking of extra caution.
Always dismount the machine of the tractor and use specialist welding blankets to protect
vulnerable areas e.g. plastic elements etc. Use only fully operable, attested hoisting
equipment of sufficient lifting capability for the machine. Never work under raised,
unsupported machine. It is imperative to use additional solid supports to ensure safety in
case of hoisting equipment failure. Never prop the machine with fragile objects such as
bricks or breeze-blocks. Use personal protection equipment when providing service or
maintenance works. Do not work in hurry. The applicable provisions of Health and Safety
should be adhered to at all times.
Caution
Do not allow any person to stay near the machine
when folding it up for the transport.
