The Learning-notes mode is activated the very first time the machine is
booted, and then with the software command WD/392/0 or by a change of
Jumper 2 (takes effect during the next boot).
Once in the Learning-notes mode, the Learning-notes sequence should be
started.
•
Make sure there are notes with adequate quality in the note tray.
•
Make sure the reject compartment is empty.
•
Issue a Dispense command with one note as argument ( X’42’X’21’) or a Test
dispense command with one note as argument (X’43’X’21’). It is possible to start
the learning-notes sequence with a Dispense command with more than one note
as argument, but it is
NOT
recommended. Verification of correct learning-note
sequence is easier with only one note requested.
If the command issued was a Dispense, the first five notes will be rejected and
the rest will be dispensed. But if the command was a Test dispense, the
machine will feed six notes and all of them will be rejected.
•
Verify the reply from the machine.
If the command was a Dispense with one note as argument, the reply should
be X’42’X’20’X’21’X’25’, meaning a Dispense (X’42’) with no error (X’20’) and
one note dispensed (X’21’) and five rejects (X’25’).
If the command was a Dispense with more than one note requested, the
counters in the reply should show correct numbers according to the number of
notes requested in the command and the numbers of notes dispensed and
rejected.
If the command was a Test dispense the reply should be X’43’X’20’X’20’X’26’,
meaning a Test dispense (X’43’) with no error (X’20’) and no notes dispensed
(X’20’) and six rejects (X’26’).
•
Verify there are five notes in the reject compartment and one note dispensed
if the command was Dispense with one note as argument. Verify there are six
notes in the reject compartment and no notes dispensed if the command was
Test dispense.
If the numbers of notes rejected and dispensed are correct according to
above, the Learning-notes sequence was successful. If not, go back and put
the machine in Learning-notes mode and perform a new Learning-notes
sequence.
