1. Mount Camera to Windshield

Using the template supplied with your unit, carefully position the pre-assembled camera and 

bracket on your vehicle windshield. After test-fitting, remove the protective film from the 

adhesive and firmly press the unit into place. Maintain pressure for 15 seconds.

Notes:

Make sure that unit is precisely level (left-to-right) with respect to the road surface.

• 

Make sure that the unit is positioned as close to the center of the vehicle as possible.

• 

Make sure that the unit is positioned within the area swept by the vehicle windshield 

• 

wipers.

When properly installed, the camera is tilted forward at approximately 9°.

2. Install Wiring Harness

Install the system wiring harness as shown in the Installation Overview. Route the camera 

cable along the vehicle headliner and A-pillar, as shown in the diagram. Make sure enough 

cable is present above the windshield to connect/disconnect the camera unit without stretching 

the cable. 

Notes:

Make sure the cable is not pinched or cut during installation.

• 

Position the data download cable so it can be easily retrieved and connected to a 

• 

portable PC for data download operations.

Depending on the specific vehicle, either A-pillar may be used to route the cable.

• 

3. Install Processor Module

Using the supplied cable ties, mount the system processing unit under the vehicle dashboard. 

Observe these precautions:

Make sure the wiring harness connector is not blocked.

• 

Make sure the unit does not interfere with any moving parts.

• 

Make sure the unit is well clear of the control pedals.

• 

4. Install Operator Mute Button

Locate or cut a rectangular opening in the control panel or dashboard to accomodate the mute  

switch. Pull the mute button cable (four spade connectors) through the opening and connect it

 to the mute button as

 

shown below:

After the button is connected, push it into the opening until it locks in place. 

5. Connect Wiring Harness to Vehicle Wiring

CAUTION:

 Disconnect vehicle battery before proceeding. 

Connect the five leads from the vehicle wiring cable as shown below:

+ 12 VDC

GROUND

Left turn signal

Right turn signal

Brake lights

NOTES

:

 

To avoid draining battery, c12VDC to a switched power source which is only powered 

• 

when vehicle ignition is ON. 

Brake and turn signal inputs must provide a transition from 0V to +12VDC when turn signal 

• 

or brake is on.

The lead number is printed on insulation, as shown. If you need to shorten the cable, 

• 

refer to the insulation markings to identify the correct cable. 

3 additional black cables and one orange cable that will be visible if you shorten the

cable; make sure to connect the black wire labeled “

1 ONE

” to ground; the additional 

black wires (2, 3, and 4) are not connected.

6. Connect System Cable to Processor

Connect the 12-pin system cable connector to the latching connector on the processing unit, then 

re-connect vehicle battery.
