Understanding the radio indicators
The status LED and the radio’s audible tones—together with the
radio display—all combine to give you information about the state
of your radio. The most common way the indicators work is
described in the following sections.
The way these indicators behave may be affected by the way your
radio is programmed.

Transmitting

Battery low. Recharge or replace as soon
as possible.

medium Transmitting at low power

Radio is stunned. Radio also emits high-
pitched beeps. Contact your dispatcher.

The power-up sequence is complete.
Radio also emits two medium-pitched
beeps.

repeating
fast flashes
Lone worker is now active
green
slow
Economy mode is active

steady
Conventional mode: channel busy
Trunking mode: a traffic channel has
been allocated for a call. Proceed with
the call.

Radio has access to a trunking system
and is ready to make and accept calls

Lone worker is now inactive
