programming required when installing an APA. The following are the parameters that
must be set:
Parameters applied to each FlexAPDL and FlexSet 280S with APA
The following system database parameters are used to assign specific information to
each keyset on a per port basis.
Feature Authorization_________________________ (Route: FEAT, 1)
The APA requires authorization in order to work (version 14.5 ORHIGHER).
The maximum number of APA modules is limited to the number defined in the
authorization file. Only the authorized number of keysets can use the APA link to the
Applications Processor and CTI.
Any additional keyset with APA in excess of the authorized limit that attempts to
initialize will not have the APA link.
Digital List _________________________________________________ (Route: DLIS)
Up to seven separate additional devices per keyset are available on FlexSet 280S with
an APA. The FlexSet 40B is one such device. Additional devices attached to the
terminal’s digital bus must be identified in the Digital Bus List. The terminal device
always is listed as device ID #0. Up to three FlexSet 40B units may be attached to the
FlexSet 280S series sets. The first FlexSet 40B is listed as device ID #4, the second as
device ID #5, and the third as device ID #6. The APA is ID #7 and will appear as
P-type if it has been properly identified by the system and is active.
Keyset Definition __________________________________________ (Route: KEY)
An operating profile for each keyset is defined in the keyset definition. In addition to

type parameters must be defined for APA:

For PCC or CAP applications, set the PCC parameter to YES (Y), the ACD_PC to
NO (N).
For
ACD or Call Center applications, set the ACD_PC parameter to YES (Y), the
PCC to NO (N).
