The IMC8 flash card is an integrated memory card with an 8 MB flash memory
capacity. It contains the generic software of the Coral and is used to store the system
database. See
IMC8 Flash Memory Card, page 8-35
for details.
The IMC16 card is a 16MB flash memory card. For specific applications, the
IPx Office might require an IMC16 flash memory card. Contact the
manufacturer’s representative for further information.
The IMC8 flash card is used by the main control during run-time. The memory
management on the MCB Office allows part of the code to use portions of the IMC8
flash memory for run-time. Therefore, the IMC8 memory card must not be removed
from its drive during system operation. If removed, the system will crash.

IMC8 Flash Memory Card
Do not remove the IMC8 flash memory card from its drive during system operation.
Removing the IMC8 flash memory card while the system is operating will cause the
system to crash.
