 switch is turned ON (upwards) and that the 

green 

Power

 indicator is lit, while the red 

Alarm

 indicator is not lit.

Verify that the battery pack power switch is turned OFF (pressed down to the 

right).

If required, connect the other wires to the LTU/CSU unit. See 

page 7-46, 

Connecting the Battery Pack to the LTU/CSU Unit

Insert the PABX/PS wire into the upper panel socket of the PS500 AC power 

supply. See

Turn the BATTipx power switch ON.

Operating the Battery Pack

The batteries must be fully charged before proceeding. Allow at least 24 hours of 

system operation and call processing with batteries installed before continuing.
