Display Mode

This menu item offers the choice between three different display operation
modes:
Always on
Temporary
Always off
Selecting
'Temporary'
will switch the display on for a short while each time the
P 3100 HV
is being operated. Shortly after operation the display will be
switched off again automatically.
The brightness of the display can be adjusted separately with the menu item
'Display Brightness'
(see above).
Volume mode

At this menu item you can change the manner how the volume value is
displayed. The current set volume can be displayed in steps from 0 to 99 or the
attenuation in -dB from --
…-98dB…-97dB…0dB.
Volume after power-on
menu item
Here you can select whether the
P 3100 HV
switches on with the volume
selected before the device was switched off, a maximum permissible volume or
always the same volume.
Unchanged
If you select this setting, the device switches on with the volume set before it
was switched off.
Limited
This setting allows you to define a maximum permissible volume level after
power-on. The value can be set under the menu item "
Value
".
Fixed value
If this option is activated, the
P 3100 HV
always switches on with the volume
value set in the menu item "
Value
".

At this menu item you can set the volume value for the selected option in the

PS 3000 meter mode
menu item
(**appears only with a PS 3000 HV
connected to the A 3000 HV)
This menu can be used to change the mode of measurement of a PS 3000 HV
connected to the system. If two PS 3000 HV are connected, both indicators are
switched together.
Please refer to the PS 3000 HV operating instructions for more information on
the various indicator modes.
Language
In this menu item you define the language to be used for the displays on the
screen of the front panel of the
P 3100 HV
.
Energy saver
menu item
The
P 3100 HV
has an automatic power-down function, which will switch off the
device after 90 minutes without user operation.
The menu item "Energy Saver" lets you disable the Auto-Power-Down function
in countries outside the EU.
