The load capacity of the loudspeakers connected to the device must be
appropriate to the amplifier. The speaker impedance must be at least 4 Ohm
(DIN). Always connect your loudspeakers using ready-made, purpose-designed
speaker cables terminating in approved connectors. The speaker cables and
connectors must be insulated in accordance with regulations, and the conductors
must have a minimum cross-sectional area of 2.5 mm².
The output stages are designed to cope with a minimum load of 2
, but conti-
nuous operation at very high volume produces high currents in the power output
stages which can lead to overheating. This in turn trips the protective circuit
which switches the amplifier off automatically.
POWER LINK IN
Socket for connecting the optional supplementary mains power supply
PS 3000 HV
.
Since the contacts of the POWER LINK socket carry high voltages and
currents, for safety and to prevent staining the terminal contacts, the screw cap
should left in place so long as no
PS 3000 HV
is connected. The connection
between the two devices must only be made using the
Power Link cable
supplied with the
PS 3000 HV
.
TRIGGER
The
A 3000 HV
can be turned on and off by means of a switching voltage (+5
… +20 Volt) connected to this socket.
