Error messages:
IPU Error
Status:
Not Ready Probable Cause
1. When the Main Unit is started, the power of IPU is turned
OFF.
2. When the Main Unit is started, the XE program of IPU has
not been started.
3. When the Main Unit is started, the connection cable to the
Main Unit is disconnected.
4. Other probable causes
Corrective Action
1. Turn ON the power of the IPU to start the application. Then
select “Retry” on the “Reconnect?” screen of the Main Unit.
2. Start the XE program of the IPU. Then select “Retry” on
the “Reconnect?” screen of the Main Unit.
3. Connect the connection cable, and select “Retry” on the
“Reconnect?” screen of the Main Unit.
4. Contact your Sysmex technical representative.
Error messages:
ID Read Error
Rack ID Read Error Probable Cause
1. Dirty ID barcode
2. Poorly printed ID barcode
3. Incorrect position of ID barcode
Corrective Action
1. Check the ID barcode.
(Refer to Chapter 6: 6.2 ID barcode specifications.)
Error messages:
Xm Limit Error
L-J Limit Error
Xb Limit Error Probable Cause
1. X

Corrective Action
1. Check the QC chart.
2. Check the analysis data for the items that exceed control
limits.
3. If necessary, perform calibration.

Control Expired
Category:
Message urging caution Probable Cause
1. Expiration date of control blood in use has expired.
Corrective Action
1. Replace the control blood with the new one.
Error messages:
Control Entry Err
Category:
Message urging caution Probable Cause
1. New lot information of the control blood has not been
registered.
Corrective Action
1. Register the new lot information of the control blood.
