Prepare the upgrade files
1.
Double-click the p250_Firmware_Upgrade.zip file
and extract the enclosed firmware upgrade
folder to the computer’s desktop.
2.
Double-click the firmware upgrade folder
to open it.
Connect to the p250 laser
1. Remove DC power from the laser.
2. Locate the Ethernet crossover cable in the ship kit and connect it between your computer and
the p250’s Ethernet port.
3. Remove the Quick Start Plug from the p250’s User I/O connector.
4. Apply 48 VDC power to the laser and wait 15 seconds for the firmware to initialize.
5. If you have changed the p250’s IP address (the factory default is 192.168.50.50), you must change
it back. If not, proceed to the next section, Perform the firmware upgrade.
• Launch your web browser, type the laser’s IP address, and then press Enter.
• When the home page appears as shown in the following figure, click the Con-figure IP Address
link at the bottom of the page.
