Power LED
– illuminates green when the Keyswitch is turned to the ON position (or when an OEM laser is
powered up) to indicate that power is applied to internal circuitry.
Lase LED
– illuminates red to indicate the lase mode of operation. If a tickle signal is present, the LASE LED
turns on after the five-second delay and becomes brighter as the PWM duty cycle is increased.
Keyswitch (Keyswitch models only)
– used to turn the laser on, off, and to reset faults. The key cannot be removed
when the Keyswitch is in the ON position.
Command (CTRL) Input
– accepts tickle and PWM Command signal inputs. The output of the UC-2000
Controller (or FH Series marking head) is attached to this connector. DC Power Cables – red (+) and black
(–) DC Power input cables are manufactured from #12 AWG (48-1/48- 2) or #8 AWG (48-5) wire and
measure 1.1 meters (3.5 feet) in length.
DB-9 Connector
– provides an interconnection for message, fault shutdown, remote interlock, remote
keyswitch, and interface signals. Refer to the DB-9 connections section in the Technical Reference section
for information on pin assignments and function.
