Setup

In addition to the connections shown in 

Measuring PDV

, on page 91 (except 

connection from TP500 module to the network switch), make the following 
connections to the TimeWatch module ports:

REF IN Port

: 

Connect the REF IN port to Port 1 on the I/O card of 

the TP5000 probe module using a BNC-to-mini BNC 
cable

MEASURE IN Port

Connect the MEASURE IN port to the E1 output of the 

external client using the appropriate cable.

LAN

Connect the LAN port to the internal Ethernet switch 

using Ethernet cable

Procedure

1. Connect E1 or 2M signal from TP5000 module to Reference port of TimeWatch 

module. The default output from Port 1 of the TP5000 probe module is 2048 kHz.

2. Connect E1 output from the external client to Measurement port of the 

TimeWatch probe module.
