2. Press the Down arrow key until the slider is at
the desired volume level between Max and Min.
Selecting the type of VoiceAlert notification
This section allows you to select how the PTC-1800
will alert you to an incoming broadcast message.
Audible alert
In the bottom left-hand corner of the VoiceAlert
screen is a Mute checkbox. Press the SK1 key to
check or uncheck this box.

The PTC-1800 will not emit an audi-
ble noise when it receives an incom-
ing broadcast message.

The PTC-1800 will emit an audible
noise similar to a "chirp" to alert you
to an incoming broadcast message.
