Communications

Serial Communication

The UCC 8800 Universal Cable Cup provides the ability to connect the terminal to printers 
and vending machines.

1.

Ensure that locking tabs are in the open position (up).

2.

Insert the terminal into the cable cup.

3.

Press down on the two locking tabs.

4.

Pull on the cable cup to ensure that it is securely seated on the terminal.

5.

Open the rubber cap covering the serial port.

6.

Connect the cable connector to the serial port.

7.

Secure the connector to the cable cup by tightening the two connector screws.

8.

Connect the other end of the serial cable to the appropriate device.
