Plural Stage Row Recognition Codes
Up to two different recognition codes can be
programmed for each row within each type of
plural stage bar code (2-Stage, 3-Stage, or 4-
Stage). A recognition code consists of from 1
to 3 ASCII characters. For each character a
position value must be programmed to tell the
scanner what position in the bar code to look
for that character. This position value is
programmed to be relative to the left side of
the bar code data or relative to the right side
of the data.
Programming Recognition Code
Characters
To program the recognition code character(s):
1. Scan the appropriate recognition code
character bar code, starting on page 25 .
2. Scan 1, 2, or 3 bar codes from the alpha-
numeric keyboard bar codes in the Cy-
clone
™
M2000 Series Product Reference
Guide.
3. Scan “Recognition Chars Done” on page
35 .
Programming Recognition Code Position
Values
To program the position values for a
recognition code:
1. Scan the appropriate position value bar
code, starting on page 25 .
2. Scan a numeric bar code, starting on page
39 to indicate which character (1st, 2nd, or
3rd) of the recognition code you are set-
ting a location value for.
3. Scan the “From Left” or “From Right” bar
code on page 35 to indicate whether the
position value you will enter is relative to
the left side or the right side of the bar
code data.
