2. Plug one end of the inter-cradle cable into the Expansion
Connector modular jack labeled EXP on the back of the first
cradle.
3. Plug the other end of the inter-cradle cable into the modular
jack labeled Host on the back of the second serial cradle.
4. Repeat these steps for any additional 4-slot serial cradles
you want to connect.
Note:
This only works with the CRD1700-4000S 4-Slot Serial
Cradle. It does not work with the single-slot cradle.
Software Configuration
The CRD2700-4000E appears to SPT 1700 and PPT 2700
terminals inserted into the cradle as a direct-connect PPP service.
Therefore, just as you would set up any remote client to connect
to an Internet Service Provider (ISP) like Compuserve or Earthlink,
the terminals must be configured for use with the cradle. The
following sections describe the steps necessary to configure the
SPT 1700 and PPT 2700 terminals.
Configuring the SPT 1700
Configuring NetSync Options
NetSync must be configured for use with the CRD2700-4000E.
From the HotSync panel on your SPT 1700, select each of the
option panels available from the Options menu (accessed by
tapping the Menu icon) and configure them as follows:
