Address Transform Properties—General tab
The General tab lets you specify the address transform parameters that are used by a source when it
communicates with a given destination.
You can view the properties of the parameters you want to specify, such as the source and destination,
and, if they do not serve your needs, you can create new ones.

Field
Description
Enable
Indicates whether this option is enabled.
This option is checked by default.
Transform name
A unique name for this address transform.
The maximum length is 256 characters.
Allowed characters are a-z, A-Z, numerals, periods (.), dashes (-), and underscores (_).
Do not include spaces in the name. The characters @,!,#,$,%,^,&,*,<,> and other reserved
characters are also invalid.
Use a name format such as symantecs.org.
Caption
An optional, brief description of this address transform.
The maximum length is 128 characters.
For longer descriptions, use the Description tab.
Arriving through
Interface or secure tunnel that the client is using to access the designated address.
For example, if all packets coming from the interface to the network destination are to
undergo network address transformation, then select the interface here. If the transformed
packets are only meant to be traveling between a source and destination named in a specific
secure tunnel, select the tunnel here.
For use in a virtual client, select the interface through which traffic is to be received from
the virtual client, the outside interface.
Source
Available network entities for the entity that is the client or real address for a connection.
For use in a virtual client, select the real network entity initiating the connection.
Destination
Server entity that is communicating with the client entity.
For use in a virtual client, select the Universe or External host entity.
Leaving through
Interface or the secure tunnel that the client is using to access the designated server.
For example, if all packets coming from the interface to the network destination are to
undergo network address transformation, then select the interface. If the transformed
packets are only meant to be traveling between a source and destination named in a specific
VPN tunnel, select the tunnel.
