Increasing productivity by identifying spam email
Adding antispam protection to a rule
You can create or modify an email rule to select the methods that you want to use to identify spam. You
can configure these options separately for SMTP and POP3 on a rule-by-rule basis.
Configure the spam detection settings, and then create a rule that enables the spam detection methods
that you want to use.
Prerequisites
None.
To add antispam protection to a rule

In the SGMI, in the left pane, under Policy, click
Firewall
.

In the right pane, on the Rules tab, do one of the following:

To set up a new rule, click
New
.

To modify an existing rule, highlight the rule, and then click
Properties
.

In the Rule Properties dialog box, on the Antispam tab, select the method to use for identifying
spam:

Click
OK
.

Optionally, do one of the following:
■
To save your configuration now and activate later, on the toolbar, click
Save
.
■
To activate your configuration now, on the toolbar, click
Activate
.
When prompted to save your changes, click
Yes
.
