Configuring OSPF support
OSPF is configured on each interface separately. Changes made here take affect immediately after
activating the configuration.
Prerequisites
None.
To configure OSPF support

In the SGMI, in the left pane, under Assets, click
Network
.

In the right pane, on the Network Interfaces tab, select the interface on which you want to enable
OSPF, and then click
Properties
.

In the Network Interface Properties dialog box, on the Routing tab, check
Allow multicast (UDP-
based) traffic
.

Check
Enable OSPF on interface
.

In the Route Cost text box, type a value for this interface’s cost.

In the Route Priority text box, type a value for this interface’s priority.
In the event of a cost tie between two interfaces, the interface with the higher priority is chosen.

If you have decided to use MD5 key encryption in your OSPF network:

In the Key ID text box, type the key ID you assigned to your OSPF routers.
■
In the Key text box, type the key you assigned to your OSPF routers.

In the Area text box, type the value of the area that you would like to assign this interface to.

Click
OK
.

Optionally, do one of the following:

To save your configuration now an activate later, click
Save
.
■
To activate your configuration now, on the toolbar, click
Activate
.
When prompted to save your changes, click
Yes
.
