Installing the Symantec Storage Shelf guide rails
The Symantec Storage Shelf is shipped with left and right mounting rails. These
rails install in a standard 19-inch rack. The front plates of the rails are marked
left and right. Two-inch lips on the bottoms of the rails provide a shelf on which
the storage system sits. Extenders that are built into the rails let you adjust the
rails for the depth of the rack.
Caution:
Due to the weight of the units, Symantec recommends that storage shelves
be installed at or near the bottom of the rack.
