Provides data
storage services.

The service is the
basic configuration
of the value-added
services.
Configuring
RAID, LUN, and
mapping
Basic SAN services are used for
data block-level storage.
Multiple disk array creation
modes improve data
redundancy and read/write
efficiency. One or more hosts
or host groups can be divided
for storage resources.
Value-
added
service
configurati
on
Provides advanced
applications based on
basic SAN services.
Configuring
HyperImageAgent
HyperImage copies LUN data
in a timely manner through
pointers and resource LUNs.
Configuring
remote LUN
replication
This is a LUN-based data
mirroring operation. The
master LUN provides data
access and the slave LUN
copies data from the master
LUN. If the master LUN is
faulty, the slave LUN takes
over the services. After the
master LUN recovers, the
services are switched back onto
the master LUN. Remote LUN
replication is used for data
disaster recovery.
Configuring a
LUN copy
A LUN copy copies data from
the souce LUN to the target
LUN. A LUN copy supports
full copy and incremental copy.
The LUN copy function
quickly backs up data between
arrays, and copies the latest
source data to the target array.
Configuration Methods
GUI Configuration
Integrated Storage Manager (ISM) is a Graphical User Interface (GUI) tool and is easy to use,
reliable and vivid.
Using the ISM, users can operate and maintain the N8300 for commonly-used operations. The
ISM also includes a confirmation function prior to executing any dangerous operations. All
potentially hazardous operations to the system or data need to be confirmed. This prevents
damage to the system or system data.
