Mechanical Safety Check
Here is a simple procedure you should get in the habit of before you get on your scooter:
A. Nuts, bolts, and structural
Due to vibration, nuts and bolts can become loose. Make sure that all fasteners are securely fastened and tighten if neces-
sary. Pick your scooter off the ground a few inches and you look at all visible nuts, bolts and structural welds. If anything
sounds, feels or looks loose or shows signs of stress then replace, or secure them. If you’re not sure, ask someone with
experience to check, or ask an authorized dealer to show you what to look for in a mechanical safety check.
WARNING: Inspect unit before each use. Make any required adjustments, and replace or repair any item that may need
it.
B. Tires and Wheels
Check that pneumatic tires are properly inflated. Refer to the sidewall of the tire for recommended PSI. Checking PSI using a tire
pressure gauge is recommended. We strongly recommend tire pressure of the front tubed tire of minimum 2.5 bar (36 PSI). The rear
tire is a hollow tire and holds its structure from the rubber itself and doesnt have to be inflated. Spin the wheels and check that the
tires have not yet reached the wear marks on the
tires, have ripped, torn, or show any signs of distress, and replace as necessary. Make sure the wheels spin freely and true. If wheels
wobble and/or rub the brakes then make proper adjustments before proceeding with the mechanical safety check.
Tire information
Never use tires that are not authorized for use on your scooter model by the manufactuer or which exceed the maximum tire presure
of the standard tires assembled on your scooter when bought brand new.
IMPORTANT!!! Check correct tire pressure before each use. Tires are shipped from manufacturer just partially filled.
WARNING!!! Tire wear or damages can lead to loose control about the unit and cause serious injury. Therefore please check
your tires frequently for damages and always wear proper footwear as well as protective gear and a helmet.
WARNING!!! Patching of tires is just an emergency repair. Patches can change riding conditions and behaviour. Also they can
influence the tubes structure and lead to serious tire damage and therefore serious accidents and injuries.
Please replace repaired tubes or tires just with ones that are authorized from manufacturers side. Tubes and tires
from third parties might not be fullfil requirements of your specific scooter model and might cause damages on
your scooter.
IMPORTANT!!! Replace worn front and rear tires as soon as possible or if there appear any damages on your tires.
