Menu Mode in Lists
The arrow buttons can be used to page through the lists. In order to display more exact
information concerning an entry, move to the corresponding entry and press
9
. You now find
yourself in the sub-menu of the entry and you can use the arrow buttons to page through the
detailed information or to edit an entry.
Within the sub-menu, you can start a call from any menu option (with the exception of
“0 > Back”) by pressing
9
.
7.4.2
Editing Telephone Numbers and List Entries
When dialing from the Caller List, the Redial List, or the Personal Phonebook, it is possible to
edit the entries before dialing takes place.
The
button can be used to switch the “Insert” mode. The insertion mark changes between
“Insert” (“_”) and “Overwrite” (“|”). The
button deletes the number to the left of the
insertion mark.
When in the Insert mode (“_”), if you move with the arrow button to the left
, the caller’s
number will disappear. You can then use the numeric keypad to enter the numbers. If you then
(e.g. after entering a project code) use the arrow button to move to the right
, the caller’s
number will appear again.
In "Overwrite" mode, ("|"), the previously displayed digits are overwritten by a new number
entry. If you then use the arrow button to move to the right
, the numbers previously at this
position will once again appear.
You can still assign names to telephone numbers in the lists. The numeric keypad is used to
enter the names: for example, to enter an “F”, press the “3” button three times, for an “S”, press
the “7” button four times. The arrow pointing to the left can be used to delete your entry. The '*'-
key is used to switch between upper and lower case letters. A beep indicates that you can enter a
new character.
7.4.3
Phonebooks
Frequently used numbers are stored in the Phonebook. You can then dial these numbers directly
from the Phonebook. There are two different types of Phonebooks available to you:
• the Global Phonebook and
• the Personal Phonebook.
In both Phonebooks, the entries are in alphabetical order of the names. The Global Phonebook is
available to all users and contains information about the availability of your company's
subscribers, e.g. if they are logged on or if they are currently telephoning. The system
administrator or the user with the appropriate authorization can add further phone numbers in
this Global Phonebook, e.g. the subscribers of another site. However, the availability of these
phone numbers is not signaled. The "Global Phonebook also contains dial numbers of
individual groups.
You can store, edit or delete your personal numbers in the Personal Phonebook.
You can directly add, modify, or delete an entry in your Personal Phonebook via SwyxPhone.
Alternatively, you can also modify the Personal Phonebook via SwyxIt!. For further
information, please refer to the SwyxIt! documentation.
