R−button on private branch exchanges
If the telephone is connected to a private branch exchange, all the functions as-
sociated with the
button, such as transferring calls, automatic callback,
etc., can be used. Refer to the operating manual provided with your private
branch exchange as to which Flash time must be set in order to use these func-
tions. The dealer where you purchased the exchange can provide information as
to whether the telephone will work properly with the exchange. The Flash time is
set using the menu. Refer to Page 152 for the sequence of option selections.

Entering the access code for an automatic dialling pause
When using some older private branch exchanges, it takes a little time before the
dialling tone becomes audible.
Enter the access code so that a dialling pause is automatically inserted. When
dialling the number, the telephone recognises the access code and the first num-
ber of the phone number dialled. As a result, a dialling pause is automatically in-
serted following the access code.
Example: With reference to the previously used example, you enter 9 as the
access code. Your phone book entry reads
9
04421941699. Now a dialling pause
is automatically inserted following the access code.
