Instructions for installation
1. The ILTO R80 can be secured to a wall by means of a special wall
mounting bracket. The ILTO R80 should be mounted as near to a wall
as possible. The space between the ventilation unit and the wall/
ceiling must be insulated to prevent the sound from the unit from
being transmitted out into the room via the wall.
Wall mounting
Secure the wall mounting bracket by means of screws. Mount the
ILTO R80 on the wall mounting bracket so that the hook on the wall
mounting plate fits together with the fastener that is at the top of
the rear side of the ILTO R80. When installing in a kitchen, you must
fasten the power supply and modular cable leading to the cooker
hood onto the rear surface of the ventilation unit by means of clips
before you secure the ventilation unit onto the wall. When install-
ing the ventilation unit and the cooker hood, make certain that the
distance from the unit to the cooker hood is correct.
2. When installing in a kitchen, a cooker hood of type ILMO SV Pre
can be secured in four points onto the underside of the ventilation
unit. Fasten the cooker hood in the ventilation unit through the cas-
ing in corresponding mounting on the underside of the ventilation
unit. You must remove the cover plate in the bottom before you
can secure the cooker hood with screws.
Note that you must allow
sufficient open space above the cooker. Connect the power supply
and modular cable from the backside of the ventilation unit to the
back side of the cooker hood. A 700 mm wide front panel is always
used together with the ILMO SV 700 Pre cooker hood.
3. Normally R80 air handling unit doesn’t need any condense water
drainage. In standard delivery the connection is plugged. In case
the condense water connection is utilized, remove plug from the
inside of the unit.
The condensate must be channelled to a floor gulley, the water trap
of a sink or the equivalent by means of a stiff hose or pipe having
a diameter of at least 12 mm. The condensate hose from the ILTO
unit must not be connected directly to a drain. Install the water trap,
which consists of a loop hose included in the supply, vertically and
fill it with water. A connection for condensate /3/8’’ male threads)
is located at the bottom of the ILTO R80, where the hose can be
connected. There must not be any other water trap or any horizontal
parts on the water hose. The damming height of the water trap
should be at least 100 mm.
4. Install the air ducts in the attic or in inner spaces (suspended
ceilings). In colder spaces, the ducts must be insulated with 100
mm thick mineral wool, for example. In ware spaces, the outside air
duct and the outgoing extract air duct must be insulated against
moisture, for example by means of plastic film above the insulation.
The insect net in the outside air grille can easily become clogged
and should be removed. The weight of the air ducts must not apply a
load on the ILTO unit. The ducts must be secured so that their weight
is supported by other components. The transfer of sound from the
ducts to other parts of the system must be prevented (a piece of
mineral wool between the roof trusses and the duct and between
